Transportation themes are the perfect time to teach spatial and temporal relations to children, as proven by Early Childhood Educators at Meadows Academy. These relations include learning the physical position of objects in relation to oneself and the concept of time. Before this class, the children would visibly struggle to combine objects or places when asked to phrase a transport-related sentence. By the end of it, we had mastered transport-related verbs and prepositions like “from” and “to” in order to help the children express moving from one place to another. At the beginner level, phonics were introduced through fun spoon-painting while intermediates did some fun origami!
