Our team has completed one entire month of English Literacy Classes! In week 4, we set out to learn vocabulary associated with sounds. The wholesome laughter you see in these pictures is because of delightful mystery items like ‘pompoms’. Not only did they sound funny, but they felt delightfully soft to the little kiddos!

This class focused on enhancing the children’s knowledge of their physical bodies and expanding their vocabulary through guided reading. It aimed to support the children in taking the vital first step in self-awareness of the basic composition of their bodies.

Kicking off our English Literacy Classes (ELC’s) program

In our very first session, our team of Volunteering Teachers warmed up to each other and the children while testing their existing abilities in interpersonal communication. Fun play-time was utilized as a means to introduce the basics of interpersonal communication in the English language.
