Think outside the Earth | English Literacy Classes

This week, we designed rockets, fastened our astronaut uniforms and set far into space to meet our home planet Earth’s friends in the solar system. As we taught them how to describe different planets, we learned that their favourites were Mercury because “it’s so fast”, Saturn because “of the rings” or Jupiter because “it’s very fat”!

Kicking off our English Literacy Classes (ELC’s) program

In our very first session, our team of Volunteering Teachers warmed up to each other and the children while testing their existing abilities in interpersonal communication. Fun play-time was utilized as a means to introduce the basics of interpersonal communication in the English language.
