Over the last two weeks, our lessons were driven by the understanding that children from disadvantaged backgrounds are substantially more vulnerable when they struggle to identify, articulate, and validate their emotions. In these lessons we taught the expression of ‘why?’ in relation to personal feelings and facilitated deeper emotional curiosity in the children through classroom assessments, games and fun play.
